DeafYouth Ministries is a national, interdenominational Christian ministry for deaf and hard of hearing teenagers founded by Bob and Kathy Ayres in 2000. DeafYouth Ministries "Embraces God's Vision for Reaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing Young People.". Bob Ayres serves as the President/CEO of DeafYouth Ministries.





Deaf Teen Quest
is a ministry of Youth for Christ/USA in partnership with DeafYouth Ministries. YFC Deaf Teen Quest brings "fun, friendship, fellowship, faith" to deaf and hard of hearing teenagers across the nation. CLICK HERE to learn more about the ministry of Youth for Christ/USA.




Deaf Teen Connect Ministry Association is sponsored by a collaboration between DeafYouth Ministries and Deaf Missions with a focus on church-based ministries. Only members may use the name Deaf Teen Connect (DTConnect) although use of this identity is not a requirement. DTConnect Ministry Association creates a ministry association of churches committed to excellence in ministry with deaf and hard of hearing teenagers.




DeafYouth Ministries host an annual training event for those involved in ministry with deaf and hard of hearing teenagers called the DeafYouth Ministries National Convention. It is the only convention of its kind with cutting-edge training and information. This annual gathering provides training, networking, fellowship, and worship.


Developed by Joy Ayers-Greene, this tactile way to learn basic multiplication facts is proving to be an effective way to teach math. Joy is the mother of a son with autism and developed See-It Math to help him understand mathematical concepts. 


Harvest Eve is a positive alternative to Halloween which was developed by Bob Ayres during the middle 1980's loosely based on the ancient Hebrew festival of the Feast of Booths. Children still dress up like characters from history, fiction or fantasy and go door-to-door for candy! It is a celebration of heritage and family in preparation for the harvest feast. In our country, this feast is called Thanksgiving.
