DeafYouth Ministries is a national, interdenominational Christian ministry for deaf and hard of hearing teenagers. The program name of local ministries is DTQuest (DeafTeen Quest). Harvest Eve is a positive alternative to Halloween which was developed by Bob Ayres during the middle 1980's loosely based on the ancient Hebrew festival of the Feast of Booths. Children still dress up like characters from history, fiction or fantasy and go door-to-door for candy! It is a celebration of heritage and family in preparation for the harvest feast. In our country, this feast is called Thanksgiving.
